Tips for Cleaning your Notebook Fan
There is a indication that lond or whistling while the fan keeps turning up, there may be too much system trash, there may be a "fever." The "fever" is actually refers to the notebook cooling problem.
It’s dirty with dust, dirt, hair, cat hair, crumbs or cigarette ashes. If the fan is not cleaned regularly, it can lead to heat damage to the motherboard, the graphics card or the graphics chip (GPU), which can be very expensive .
Save the costs with a simple fan cleaning. It is a fast process in most cases and, with regular use, significantly increases the life of the notebook! It is ideal to clean the fan every 6 months.
Easy to clean your fan by yourself following the steps below:
1.The power supply must be unplugged and remove the battery safely, place it upside-down on the anti-static mat.
2.Remove the bottom panel of your laptop. We advise to completely remove the fan and not just blow over it. Experience has shown that most of the dust settles between the fins of the heat sink and the fan.
3. Be careful not to bend or break the thin copper blades! The slats are best cleaned with a brush and air pressure. Keep your fingers away from cotton swabs or vacuum cleaners. A small layer of dust on the rotor blades is not bad, take no risks and prefer to leave them. If the leaves break off, a new fan must be purchased.
4.Clean the face of the fan with the cloth, gently rubbing dust and dirt away from the center.
5.Gently blow into the fan to dislodge dust that may have fallen into the fan. Repeat the process until the fan is clean. When finished, replace the laptop's bottom cover.
NOTE: Do not forget to reconnect the fan cable to the motherboard, otherwise it will not take long for the notebook to overheat.
Now your laptop should run quietly and quickly again.
